Flu-gone lozenges contain 2.4 dichlorobenzyl alcohol and amylmetacresol. These ingredients are well known antiseptics which kill bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. Menthol has a mild local anaesthetic action on throat and also reliebes the symptoms of cough and nasal congestion.
How to use
Adults; one lozenge every 2 to 3 hours up to a maximum 12 lozenges in 24 hours
Children over 6 years old; as above for adults
Not recommended for children below 6 years

The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach upset, and allergic reactions. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time.
