Prostaglandins are associated with the development of pain that accompanies injury or inflammation. Enhanced production of prostaglandins is a common feature in fever.

Caffeine in lower doses stimulates the CNS and this imparts a synergistic effect to the Aspirin and paracetamol

combination.
