GAVISCON DOUBLE ACTION CHEWABLE MINT 24 TABLETS

Gaviscon double action tablets are anti acid tablets that are used to treat Gastric reflux, reflux oesophagitis and heartburn

Gaviscon double action contains sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate , calcium carbonate and saccharin. The sodium alginate reacts with saliva and gastric acid to produce a viscous gel which floats in the stomach suppressing gastric reflux and also lining the oesophagus and protects the mucosa. The calcium carbonate and sodium carbonate neutralize the gastric acid.

Dosage

The tablets are take orally and should be thoroughly chewed

Adults and children more than 12yrs- Two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime. should be taken a maximum of  four times

Children less than 12 yrs should only take on medical advice.

Safe to use in pregnancy.
