Note: Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.
- Wash hands and sterilize all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions.
- Boil 1 liter of freshly run water. Leave kettle to cool for 30 minutes and no longer. Measure the required amount of water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilized bottle. Be careful of scalding. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
- Using the scoop provided level off the powder with the built-in leveler. Do not press/heap the powder.
- Add the correct measure of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful. Place the sterilized teat and cap on the bottle. Hold the bottle horizontally and shake from left to right for 10 seconds, then hold it vertically and shake from top to bottom for 10 seconds. The time between adding the scoops and shaking the bottle should be as short as possible.
- Cool under running tap. Check temperature of feed. Feed immediately.
Due to the blend of ingredients in Aptamil Comfort, the milk can separate once prepared. If this occurs, shake the bottle vigorously to mix and use as normal.
You may notice that your baby’s stools change consistency when using this formula, this is completely normal.
Store powder in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate. Use powder within 4 weeks of opening.
